They will be given a strong start at a young age that will transfer to comfort in the water throughout their life. We support members of the swimming, surfing, polo and paddling communities to foster water-related activities.

While many of our coaches are part of Quicksilver Santa Cruz, but we are a separate entity and are not a non-profit.
The SC Swim Lessons Program is unlike anything offered by other learn to swim programs. The program is designed for children all the way up to adults, and students progress through the levels at their own pace, mastering the skills in one level before advancing to the next. Each level of our Learn-to-Swim classes includes training in basic water safety and incorporates cutting edge stroke development progressions.
(Beginner)(Ages 2+) Swimmer must be comfortable in the water without his or her parent/s. Focus: Making Students feel comfortable in the water and learn basic breathing regulation.This is a great level for first time students who have not been in lessons before.This is also offered as a Mommy and Me class.
(Beginner)Focus: Students will learn basic fundamentals of floating on stomach and back. Playing games to learn when to hold your breath underwater. Reaching for toys working on front crawl strokes.
(Intermediate) Focus: Holding proper bodyline while performing a propulsive kick on stomach and on back. Students will kick on the wall, work on being in a streamline with their stomach held by their instructor, putting their face into the water while kicking on their front and their back. These swimmers will work on swimming short distances on their own.
(Intermediate) Students will learn the basics of breast and dolphin kick while using those kicks to retrieve items on the bottom of pool unassisted. These swimmers can swim short distances on their own.
(Advanced) Students will learn how to breathe on side and learn the basic movements of freestyle arms in superman position.These swimmers can swim short distances alone but are working on endurance in the water.
We are operating with an athlete-centered focus to help people achieve their goals. This includes elite level instruction/competition and education to children and athletes of all ages, gender, and ethnicity. We will be positive change agents in our local community and branch to other areas when opportunities arise.
